Everything returns from the water whole and silver (2022 ) dir. Asmaa Jama
As a result of School of Sonic Memory residency with Onassis Stegi/Mucem and Theatrum Mundi in Athens, Alexandria and Marseille, looking at myth and water. A looping digital animation and soundscape, exploring the gabarmanyo, a mercreature from the Somali coastline. Recreating a myth around them to explore what their existence says about water/ borders/ movement and porousness.
